The government of India has demonetised the current 500
and 1000 Rupees notes, but it plans to replace these with new 500 and 2000 rupees
notes. However, rumours are spreading about the upcoming 2000 rupees note, with messages being circulated on
WhatsApp which claim the new higher denomination currency comes with a Nano-GPS
chip installed on it.
